Civil Engineering Programme
The Civil Engineering Programme at Southeast Asia University (SAU) is distinguished by its curriculum, which is accredited by the Council of Engineers (academic years 2565–2569). The programme focuses on developing graduates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, together with genuine hands-on expertise, by combining learning with modern digital technology. The curriculum is designed to give students learning through direct experience, engineering problem-solving, and hands-on practice, so that graduates can confidently become qualified civil engineers who are work-ready and able to adapt to changes in the construction industry in the digital era.
Programme Objectives
- To produce graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge of mathematics, science, and civil engineering principles as a foundation for problem-solving
- To produce graduates able to analyze, calculate, and solve engineering problems in structural work, surveying, transportation, water resources, and geotechnical work, by linking engineering principles with effective management
- To produce graduates able to appropriately select and use engineering tools, software, and technology
- To produce graduates able to analyze the impact of engineering solutions on society, safety, the environment, law, and culture, while working with professional ethics and social responsibility
- To produce graduates able to communicate in both Thai and English, give presentations, and demonstrate leadership in working with individuals and teams
Career Opportunities
Graduates may pursue the careers listed, or others, except those requiring a professional license
- Civil engineer in private organizations related to civil engineering work, such as design, construction, surveying, and architecture, among others
- Independent entrepreneur, such as construction contracting and construction consulting, among others
- Civil engineer in government agencies, such as the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, the Royal Irrigation Department, the Department of Water Resources, the Department of Highways, the Public Works Office, and municipalities
- Sales engineer for construction materials products
- Lecturer in civil engineering or civil industrial technology at institutions offering diploma-level education, or teaching assistant in civil engineering or civil industrial technology at institutions offering bachelor’s degree or higher programmes
- Research assistant in civil engineering

Admission Requirements
- Graduated from at least upper secondary school (Mattayom 6) or equivalent
- Graduated with a Higher Vocational Certificate (Por Vor Sor) or equivalent
- Of good conduct, with no moral deficiencies, and good manners
- In good physical health, free from diseases considered socially unacceptable
